Checkin in...

Thanks Amber for getting this going. I have had a bit of a crazy week, so now is the first chance I have had to sit down and write and even know I hear Caleb crying so I won't be long!
I have been to the doctor for either me or Caleb every day this week and the good news is that I appear to be all healed and was told I can resume all normal activities and not go back for 6 months. After seeing my doctor every day for 3 months, it is a little odd not to be checking in with him, but I am really glad to be done for now! Caleb is doing great as well. He had his circumcision done on Monday and had to go back for a recheck today and had gained 3 oz in 2 days! He is up to 7 lbs 5oz and considering tomorrow was his due date, that is great. He gets a break now from the doctor for a couple of weeks. In the meantime, the girls go in for flu shots next week and Christian has his 3 year old check up and flu shot the week after that. The kids doctor is trying to convince me to get everyone the swine flu vaccine as well...I am not sold on it yet. Any thoughts out there?
Outside of dr.s' offices, me and the boys spend most of our time taking the girls to all their activities. They walk themselves to and from school with friends, which is nice and we just walk with them on nice days or when friends are not there. The boys and I do preschool a little each day and are having fun.
Courtney has been really busy with school. She was tested for the GATE program and was one of the few selected out of 400+ kids tested. So, she goes one day a week to another school where all the GATE kids meet and have class for the day. They are learning languages, marine science, archaeology, etc. She loves the challenge of it, after the first day she told me that regular school was torture after going to GATE! She is also busy with piano, activity days, and girl scouts.

Aubrey is loving and excelling in first grade. She is in a 1-2 combo class, which she enjoys. She also started piano this month and loves it. She is in girl scouts with Courtney as well. Needless to say, she is tired at the end of the day.

Caleb is a great baby, just wakes up to eat every few hours and sleeps most of the time in between. He is starting to have more alert times and notice things around him more. He is so fun to have in our family. We are excited for dad and Megan and family to meet him next month.

Mark is at a conference at the Disneyland hotel this week and currently at an Anaheim Angels game...rough life! Just kidding, he was asked to go attend this conference and bring the info back for all the teachers. We miss him, but it is a good thing for him and fun too. He will be home on Friday.

I will post pictures soon, but better go and feed my boy.
Hi,

I just got home, actually 2 hours ago. Mom mentioned the blog, so I had to look and see if I was invited . I love what Mom die to the walls. It looks really great! The Packer game was great. I was happy for the pussycats, but was disapoointed that it didn't happen a week earlier.

I am staying home for about a week before my next trip. I am going to California for the blessing of Caleb. I am hoping tha Megan and Ryan will put up with me for a day or 2 also. I haven't talked to them about my specific plans yet, but plan on it tomorrow night.

In November I am going to attend a rod building class to build a new flyrod. I am planning on trying it out next June on the Nushagak river (Dillingham). President Logan, Mark Clyde, Gregg Lund and I are planning on afishing trip to play with the kings. I understand that the king run numbers are along the lines of the pink run in Valdez. This year 11,860 kings went throught he counter on one day. We have been talking about it whenever we see each other. President Logan called as I was walking out of the airport today to ask if I wanted to float the Kenai on Friday, and then started talking about an article he got about the Nushagak.

Looking back to July, I sure was fantastic getting together. It means a lot to me to have all of you in our family. People at the office, and others who access my computer when I have net meetings, always go on about you all.

Love you guys.

Christmas?

So I think maybe I have Megan's family for Christmas this year, but I am really not sure. Anyone know for certain, if you do please post on here with a list of who has who (or email me and I can post it) so that we can all make sure we are on the right page. Thanks!
Well, a few of you have signed up to be authors on the blog, for the rest of you, I hope you got the email and get set up to start posting soon.

Things here are good, but very, very busy. For the last few days Trever has been on campus from about 7 am until 8 pm. But all in all his classes seem to be going pretty well. Lucky for me I have 2 wonderful kids who behave pretty well for me most days. Of course I am tired on weeks like these, but I suppose even if I didn't work all night I would be tired, so it is alright. We got our first "snowfall" today, though really it was more like rain. The kids are doing great. At Asher's 4 month checkup he had lost weight over the last two months instead of the other way around. The doctor wasn't too concerned though, just said to start him on some rice cereal. He is a skinny little guy, so different from Ayana with her Campbell's kid cheeks and all. As you all know, it is amazing to see how you can have two kids who can be so alike and so different all at the same time. Anyway, hope you are all well, and hope to see updates on your families soon!

I thought I would take a minute to bring you up to date on things here. I am sooooo happy that Amber finally got this up and going and I can't wait to be able to see what is going on with each of you a little more regularly. Dad left for St. Louis yesterday morning for a meeting for work. The big deal for him was that the packers were playing there so he got to go to the game. He has only been to one other packer game so he was excited. The Packers won just for him. The good news for the day is that the Lions won also. Yahoo!!!!!!!! Since I was on my own I spent the day painting the living room. This included the long wall that goes into the diningroom also so I now have to put up all the grandchildren's pictures again. It should stay updated for awhile unless someone out there has information they haven't shared. I am also putting up family pictures so I need new ones for Scott and Shannon which include the whole family. Anyway I suspect it will take me the rest of the day to get those up straight and even.
I Love you all and look forward to seeing what is happening in your lives.

Our new blog

Hello all, I am not sure if all of you got Mom's email a while back, but this is our new family blog. Sorry if you don't like it. To post to it you will need to get a blogger account (google account), it is easy and free. I think each family should do their best to post to here at least once a month, so that we can keep up with each other's lives. If you don't like the picture of your family on the left, feel free to change it, or if you don't know how, send me it in an email and I will change it for you. Posting is pretty simple, but any help you need I am happy to offer. I hope that you all enjoy this page and we can all be a little better about keeping in touch. Love you guys, Amber
