Following up on some of the comments left from Yvonne's post,...Even though my husband thinks so, I wasn't trying to be mean,...just realistic. Only trying to say to enjoy two and don't stress, cuase it only gets trickier with more--regardless of how independent they are. :)I guess that's just one of the many joys of being a parent, especially a mom!

But I want you to all know that Nathan is an awesome Mr. Mom! I had several people compliment on how well the kids were dressed and how cute the girl's hair was,...with braids even! I wish he would have taken a picutre. That's twice now in the past couple months that I have "abandoned" my family. The first time was to visit my grandma (dad's mom) in Panama at the end of September. And then just last week I flew to Hawaii to attend one of my other grandma's (mom's mom) funeral.
Although I know how amazing he is,..I too was impressed to come home to the front porch lined with 4 beautiful pumpkins they carved for FHE.

  1. Oh no worries Sharolyn! I didn't take it that way. I can't imagine having more than 2 right now or wrangling more than that out of the house and into a car, or grocery store, or whatever.

Nathan is really talented! Scott was impressed by the last post where Nathan was doing house repairs. He can come help us anytime!

And I'm sorry to hear about your grandma! I'm glad you were able to make it to her funeral and say good-bye! Let us know if you need anything. We love you guys.

  2. Sharolyn, I wasn't offended, I didn't think you were mean. I think having kids is one of those things where you feel like you have your hands full and couldn't possibly do more than what you have, and then you have another and somehow you figure it out. I am sure that 2 is cake compared to 4, but somedays my 2 seem like quite a handful!

By the way, i love the pumpkins, we decided not to carve any this year because we didn't have time, but now that Halloween is here I am a little bummed out not to have any, oh well, there's always next year!
