Well, it seems like it has been forever since I posted on here. Not much is going on in our lives, The kids are growing like crazy and are more fun every day. Asher is still working on the crawling, but I know it will be any day now that he is an expert at it; he is so close! He started waving a few weeks back but now he just loves to wave at you, especially if you wave at him first, then he tries to copy the way you waved at him. He loves to be held, and gets mad if you ever put him down, though the other day at church he thought being down was alright when there were two little girls on the floor to watch and steal toys from. Ayana is turning out to be a real character. She loves to play the xylophone that Dad made for Christmas and sing at the top of her lungs "La, La, La" Her latest thing is whenever Dad asks if she wants a piggy back ride, or to ask for a ride she starts oinking like a pig, it is pretty funny. She loves to play ghost, and to be outside, luckily the weather has finally started to warm up. She likes to crawl around the house to try to show Asher how, or to push on his bum to try to get him to crawl. She is not good at sharing toys, but in every other way is a wonderful and helpful big sister. Trever and I have just been doing the same old thing. He is doing well as always in his classes. He is also getting very excited for the warmer weather because that means it is almost time to get his RC truck out again! We spent a good few hours yesterday getting our car all cleaned and ready to sell. Hopefully by this weekend we will be able to trade it in, and between that and some cash we have end up with a van. I always said I never wanted a van, but now I can't wait to own one! If any one has any recommendations for a good type of van let me know. Love you Guys!

  1. I know Toyota has a bad rap right now, but we LOVE our Sienna. There have not been any recalls on the Sienna. There are also really good deals ( at least here) because their sales are way down. We are trying to swing trading ours in for a new one right now. Also, even though it seems a long way off now, we bought ours when we had 2 kids and wish now that we would have gotten the eight passenger with all the friends, etc we have toted over the years and especially now that every seat is full! We all know you'll have at least 6 kids right?!

  2. When we were picking them out there were a lot of little things that are different. it just depends on what little thing matters to you. For us, living in an apartment, we did not want to have to remove a seat completely to stow it away. Also, anything with the stow and go concept where the seats fold down will mean more storage. I love having the little compartments under teh feet of seats for park toys extra diapers and stuff (things I do not need every day but like to have tucked away somewhere). Also, if the back seats fold down in the back it will mean more space back there when you have the seats up (nice when pacing for trips as you get more kids packed in there). I am sure you will love the space you will have no matter what you pick. I love having a van.

  3. Like Megan said,...it seems like it often comes down to the little things and extra features. We LOVE our van too. Nathan was also one that said he would never own a van,...but he loves our "zoom zoom". Just drive them all, and you'll start eliminating.

  4. we are limited since we are not going to finance, so the vans in our price range are before the area of the seats that fold into the floor. Today we are going to be checking out a dodge caravan and a Chrysler Town and Country, (I know, kind of the same thing) so we will see...

  5. Hey kid --- one thought for you. I think it is great if you have the money to out right buy your van, but you may want to think about fnancing under one of the 0% for 60 month kind of deals so many places are running. Then you can get the nice credit history related to it. That again will depend on what kind of vehicle you end up wanting, but it was a thought we took into account when we bought ours. Just a thought.

  6. Meg, we thought about that, but I just can't bring myself to commit to a car payment right now. Our main financial goal at this point in our lives is to be completely debt free when Trever graduates in a year and a half. So maybe in the future we will be interested in jumping on one of those 0% aprs, but for now it is just not right for us
